The best places to visit in Africa

Golden sandy beaches, hours of sunshine and the clearest view of the night’s sky you have ever seen; Africa is one of the best destinations for explorers and intrepid adventurers, as well as, those wanting to sit back and relax. Here are our favorite holiday destinations in Africa.

1. South Africa

Cape Town is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in Africa. With a mix of nature and nightlife, there is plenty to see or do. Chill at the beaches, enjoy top-notch food at elegant restaurants and walk (or take the cable car) up Table Mountain. Don’t miss the largest city in the county, Johannesburg, particularly the Botanical Gardens, the zoo and the UNESCO World Heritage area Cradle of Humankind.

2. Egypt

Famous for the Nile River and pyramids, Egypt is full of history and cultural activities. Home to palaces, mosques, and intriguing small avenues, the capital of Egypt will leave you in awe. Enjoy views of the impressive Giza pyramids and discover all about ancient Egypt at the Egyptian Museum in the heart of the city. If history isn’t your thing, Egypt is also known for pristine beaches and some of the best scuba diving sites in the world.

3. Tanzania

This stunning country could not be more perfect for those in love with nature! The highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, is in Tanzania as well as the Serengeti National Park where you can catch glimpses of elephants, lions and rhinos. Even better, Tanzania also has the tropical island Zanzibar where you can swim with whale sharks. How awesome is that!

4. Morocco

With the mountains, desert and lively cities, Morocco has everything you could want. Trek in the High Atlas Mountains, go on a camel safari in the desert and haggle in the markets of Marrakech. Enjoy the delicious Moroccan cuisine, and make sure you leave space in your suitcase for a tagine!

5. Kenya

With over 45 reserves and National Parks, there is plenty to see and do in Kenya. One of the most amazing things to witness is the annual wildebeest migration with over a million wildebeest migrating at once. If you miss it, there are plenty of popular wildlife safaris to go on, but also whitewater rafting and kayaking.
