China Southern Airlines Travel Experience

There are four main cabins on China Southern Airlines flights: First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class. Long-haul flights serve meals and beverages to all cabin classes, and on most flights, Economy Class passengers have personal screens for inflight entertainment including movies, TV shows, kids channels, and gaming. WiFi can be purchased on board some flights. Domestic and international lounges at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport offer access for First and Business Class, and Gold and Silver Card passengers. China Southern Airlines Check-in & Baggage

Check-in is available for China Southern Airlines flights between 24 hours and 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Check-in is possible online from a computer or mobile device. Business Class

Domestic flights allow Business Class passengers to take 30 kg/ 66 lbs of checked luggage. Those traveling on international flights in China Southern Airlines Business Class can take 2 pieces of checked luggage, as long as each piece does not exceed 32 kg/ 70 lbs. Business Class passengers on domestic or international flights can also take 1 piece of carry-on luggage weighing no more than 5 kg/ 11 lbs, as well as 1 personal item such as a handbag.

Premium Economy/ Economy Class

China Southern Airlines Economy Class passengers are allowed to check-in 20 kg/ 44 lbs of luggage for their domestic flights. On international flights, passengers in Premium Economy or Economy can take 2 pieces of checked luggage, each weighing no more than 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers on domestic or international flights can also carry-on 1 piece of luggage, weighing no more than 5 kg/ 11 lbs, as well as a personal item such as a handbag.

Allowed Luggage Size Dimensions

Checked luggage on domestic flights should not exceed the dimensions (length x width x height) of 60 x 40 x 100 cm/ 23.6 x 15.7 x 39 in. On international flights, the sum of the length, width, and height of checked luggage should not exceed 158 cm/ 62.2 in. Those traveling with infants should ensure the additional piece of luggage permitted has a combined length, width, and height of 115 cm/ 45 in.
