Introduction to Cabo Verde Airlines

Cabo Verde Airlines (Transportes Aereos de Cabo Verde) is the national carrier of the Republic of Cabo Verde in Africa, owned 100% by the Cabo Verde Government. The airline offers inter-island domestic service, regional service to neighboring countries Guinea-Bissau and Senegal, and international service to Amsterdam, Paris (Charles de Gaulle International Airport), Lisbon, Madrid, Las Palmas, Munich, and Forteleza in Brazil. The main base is Sal Airport on Ilha do Sal and an additional hub is at the new Praia Airport on the island of Santiago. The fleet consists of two Boeing 757-200s and a 2007 upgrade of the three former turboprops ATR 42-300s to three brand new ATRs, one 42-500 and two of the larger 72-500s, all equipped with the new "Elegance Cabin" and the newest communications and navigation aid tools.
