4. Canberra Balloon Spectacular, Australia - March
Watch balloons from around the world drift by the Old Parliament House in Australia. If you can manage to wake up early enough, sit on the lawn at sunrise for a breathtaking view of the balloons lifting off over the water. Visitors can also book a flight in one of the balloons!

5. Mondial Air Balloons, France - July
This big festival in France only occurs every other year, but it is well worth the wait! Taking place at the Chambley-Bussieres Air Base, the event includes night shows, family-friendly events and countless photo opportunities against the stunning backdrop of France.

6. International Hot Air Balloon Festival in Chateau-d’Oex, Switzerland - January
When it comes to background scenery, it’s hard to beat the snow-covered Swiss Alps in Switzerland. This festival features hundreds of balloons, and also offers valuable history insights at the Chateau-d’Oex Hot Air Balloon Museum.
