Founded in 1979, SriLankan Airlines is now the award-winning national airline of Sri Lanka. It has been a member of the Oneworld global airline alliance since 2014. The airline's main hub is at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) located just outside of Sri Lanka's largest city, Colombo.
SriLankan Airlines offers service to 113 destinations in 51 different countries. Its current fleet is made up entirely of Airbus planes, with 26 aircraft in service. SriLankan Airlines operates more than 500 flights per week across the globe. SriLankan Airlines offers both business and Economy Class travel. It offers a state-of-the-art entertainment system, a gaming zone, and a delicious meal and refreshment service. Passengers can also purchase access to in-flight WiFi connectivity in the airline's new Neo fleet.

In Business Class, you will have a high level of privacy and comfort, with plenty of space to stretch out and store your personal belongings. In addition, you can enjoy a wide range of in-flight entertainment, including the latest Hollywood blockbusters. On some flights, additional perks such as flat beds and a complimentary Aigner amenity kit are available.
In Economy Class, you can sit back on comfy, adjustable seats and enjoy over 100 movies for audiences of all ages on your own private screen. On long-haul flights, you will be served up to three main courses as well as an array of snacks and drinks.
In Colombo, Business Class passengers are granted access to the relaxed and elegant ambience of BIA's Serendib Lounge. This lounge offers an expansive view and comfortable seating for up to 80 people. The Serendib Lounge offers additional perks, such as a quiet zone, a complimentary massage and an exciting virtual reality experience.
SriLankan Airlines offers many online services, including online check-in, the opportunity to pre-purchase baggage allowances at a lower rate, manage your booking, book hotels or upgrade to Business Class.
You can check-in online from 48 hours to 2 hours before scheduled departure. For domestic flights, passengers should arrive at the airport at least one hour in advance, and two to three hours in advance for all international flights. All check in counters will close one hour prior to take-off.

Oneworld frequent flyer members collect frequent flyer miles for each flight and receive special perks depending on the membership tier status. Membership is free of charge.
