German airline Condor was established in 1956 and is headquartered in Frankfurt. With its main hub in Frankfurt Airport, Condor offers routes to 81 destinations across Europe, North America, South Asia, the Caribbean, and Africa. It is a popular airline for domestic flights across all of Germany's states, as well as to vacation destinations across Greece, Italy, and the United States. Popular Condor routes include Seattle to Frankfurt, Cancun to Frankfurt, Phoenix to Athens, and Seattle to Budapest. As of recently, Condor is owned by a Polish company, Polish Aviation Group.

With a fleet size of 53 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, Condor is globally considered a very safe airline. Condor flies over 9 million passengers annually and has a frequent flyer program, Miles & More. Condor is also connected with Alaska Airlines and its Alaska Mileage Plans, such that passengers earn miles with Condor and Alaska Airlines equally. Condor Travel Experience

There are four main cabin classes aboard Condor: Light Economy, Economy, Best, and Business Class. Light Economy allows passengers who don't require luggage to fly at highly affordable rates. Inflight entertainment aboard Condor flights is available for a charge on most flights. On short-haul and medium-haul flights, passengers can view shared screens featuring TV shows and children's channels. On long-haul flights with Boeing 767 aircraft, passengers all have a personal screen for viewing inflight entertainment. Economy Class passengers can view 2 TV shows and 2 movies free of charge, and flights provide USB ports at each seat for charging devices. Best and Business Class passengers have unlimited access to entertainment on their personal screens.

Condor Check-in & Baggage

Check-in is available for Condor flights between 24 and 2 hours prior to scheduled departure. Check-in online from a computer or mobile device and enjoy peace of mind. Those with only hand luggage can proceed directly to the gate once checked in with a printed boarding pass. Those with baggage still need to present these for check-in at the airports. It is recommended passengers arrive at check-in at least 1.5 hours prior to departure and to the gate 45 minutes prior to departure.

Allowed Luggage per cabin in Condor

Business Class

Checked luggage allowance for Business Class passengers on Condor flights is 30 kg/ 66 lbs. Business Class passengers can take 2 pieces of carry-on luggage and 1 small bag. Carry-on luggage should weigh no more than 16 kg/ 35 lbs in total.

Best Class

Passengers with Best Class tickets can take up to 25 kg/ 55 lbs of checked luggage on their Condor flights. Best Class passengers can additionally carry-on 1 piece of luggage and 1 small bag with a combined weight not exceeding 10 kg/ 22 lbs.

Economy Class

Condor Economy Class passengers can take 20 kg/ 44 lbs of checked luggage. Passengers can carry-on 1 piece of luggage and 1 small bag such as a handbag to their Condor flight, as long as the combined weight of carry-on items is under 8 kg/ 17 lbs.

Economy Light Class

Economy Light Class ticket holders cannot take checked luggage aboard their Condor flight free of charge and must buy this at an additional charge. Carry-on luggage is not included in Economy Light Class, and passengers can only take on a small bag free of charge.

Allowed Luggage Size Dimensions

The combined dimensions (length, width, and height) of checked luggage should not exceed 158 cm/ 62 in. Carry-on luggage should be within the dimensions (length, width and height) of 55 x 40 x 20 cm/ 21.6 x 15.7 x 7.8 in. The small bag all passengers are permitted to carry-on should not exceed the dimensions of 40 x 30 x 10 cm/ 15.7 x 11.8 x 3.9 in.

Additional Information

Excess baggage can be purchased prior to departure at affordable rates. Baggage can be purchased in increments of 5 kg/ 11 lbs. Excess baggage exceeding 20 kg/ 44 lbs must be registered ahead of time. Infants under the age of 2 are permitted 10 kg of free baggage allowance. 2 items are permitted as checked luggage free of charge, including strollers, baby carriages, cribs, and children's car seats. No baggage exceeding 32 kg/ 70 lbs is permitted in checked luggage. Children above the age of 2 are allowed the same luggage as adult passengers.
