Chinese New Year

Is Singapore's biggest festival, celebrated some time during January and February with the exact date fixed by the Chinese calendar. Visitors can enjoy parades, dragon and lion dances, and fire-eaters.

The Deepavali festival

For the Indian population, the Deepavali festival is the most beloved and picturesque event of the year. Held on a new moon night determined by the Hindu lunar calendar, this festival of lights takes place between mid-October and mid-November. Participants adorn their homes with lamps, lights and candles to create a beautiful atmosphere.

Christmas

Christmas is another festival that's celebrated with gusto by devout locals, expats, tourists and anyone who enjoys a good time. The famed shopping street of Orchard Road becomes a tropical winter wonderland for the festive season. Other than splendid lights and decorations, Orchard Road is also the scene for concerts, carols, and regular parades, games, music and theatre.

Singapore Grand Prix Season

Since the annual Singapore Grand Prix Season kicked off back in 2008, the city has witnessed a distinct buzz each September with plenty of action both on and off the race track. If fast cars are your thing, you can enjoy the sight of high-octane cars racing around the Marina Bay.
